We went to Sydney to see The Australian Ballet on Saturday night. Here is the view out the window from our hotel in the city centre.
And this is looking the other way. It’s really sad that those in power in Sydney destroyed the city a few decades ago. No effort was made to preserve any of the historic buildings, so instead of rows of Victorian-era house like you might find in other cities, in Sydney you have one.
Capital life and random beauty… 
Wow. That historic-looking home in the middle of a modern commercial district is what urban planners love to show examples of in terms of “unless we do things smartly, this is what it could look like.”
