This is not brilliant photography, but it was taken on the way home this afternoon. You can’t see, but there’re suburbs all around us – our place is just on the left. You can see one office building up ahead.
(Sad, but) we passed dead kangaroos on the side of the road. There’re kangaroos everywhere here.
THIS is why Canberra earned its nickname. And – as much as the hay fever annoys me! – I couldn’t imagine living in a city without nature everywhere.
Here is a picture of us protesting at the Russian embassy in Canberra, Australia just after Russia invaded Crimea. In this picture you can see me, my two Ukrainian aunts and my (over ninety) grandmother. Beside me (but you can’t see) is a group of Crimean Tatars, protesting that Crimea is Ukraine, not Russia.
