Adventures with Birds

It’s not spring yet, but we have every native bird imaginable running around with sticks in their beaks, getting ready.

However, we already have two birds who have moved back into the garden for the season.

I’m being followed around by the currawong (first three pictures) in the backyard – the bird was too shy to come near me last year, and now turns up at the back door! I’m even being watched from the tree, just in case I might come outside with something edible.

And in the front, the magpie (next three), who also comes to the door a few times a day.

And then I went back into the backyard, and the currawong was watching me, as if to say – so? Where’s my snack?
