Some sort of blurry pictures from yesterday taken on my tablet at sunset.
Here are two shots of the National Carillon on Canberra’s Lake Burley Griffin this afternoon (it was a gift from Queen Elizabeth, and she personally opened it in 1970). It was supposed to be raining all day (“rain” in Canberra is usually about three seconds of sprinkles), but at the end of the day it was gorgeous.
Cloudy Sunday evening in Canberra.
I couldn’t get a proper picture from where I am at the moment, but we are having a beautiful evening in Canberra, and similar – but hotter – weather is forecast for tomorrow.
At the moment, all the sulphur-crested cockatoos are screeching as they fly to… wherever they go for the night, and the currawongs are doing their thing. The picture looks peaceful, but it’s very noisy here!
I needed to be a bit higher up to actually capture it properly, but here was tonight’s sunset in Canberra.
